Titop Island (Titov Island) sits at the heart of Halong Bay, just 8 kilometers to the southeast of Bai Chay Harbor, and it is very close to visiting places & halong bay’s highlight as Luon Cave & Sung Sot cave. Although it is relatively small (total area of 3.7 ha), Ti Top Island is becoming an attractive places for domestic & international travelers.
The island was named after the legendary astronaut Gherman Stepanovich Titov who accompanied President Ho Chi Minh to visit this beautiful island in 1962. Titop offers breathtaking landscapes, which can be viewed from a vantage point high up in the center of the island. It has a crescent-shaped beach that is known for its tranquility, powdery white sand, and azure blue waters. Although Titov Beach is not spacious, it is pretty quiet and airy. The sandbank here is quite clean because it is frequently washed by the tide flowing in and out continuously. Because of its close proximity to Bai Chay, some cruises in Halong Bay choose Titov Island as a stopover for its passengers to enjoy recreational activities.0
